2009 Holiday Season, Emotions, and Memories
The holiday season tends to bring about mixed emotions of joy as well as sadness. It is the most stressful and depressive time of the year. It is the time when deep thoughts of loved ones whom have journeyed out of this world lingers. Thanksgiving and Christmas brings about happy family and friend gatherings. It is also the time when we think back on accomplishments and/or events throughout the year and ponder New Year's resolutions.
Most importantly, the holiday season is a gift from God. It is a reminder for us to be thankful - thankful for all the blessings that God has given us ...in spite of. It is a reminder that God loved us so much that He sent His only begotten Son to dwell amongst us - to be an example and show us how we are suppose to live, love one another, encourage one another, help one another, and respect one another. It is a reminder that there is a reason for every season - so enjoy the moment and enjoy one another...for reality is - tomorrow is not promised. As we journey into the holidays, I pray they will be filled with joy.
