A Mother's Cry-He's Still My Child & Sponsors presents..
A Pre-Mother's Day Program
This program is in an effort to bring a 160 diversified group of mothers together in unity. Mothers from all walks of life-the projects, home owners, young, old, school drop outs, colledge grads, as well as mothers who have lost children to violence, foster care, or prison. Many of these mothers I have presented to through my speaking engagements and others I have been encouraged by. I think it is important for us all to realize that regardless of what type of mother people think we are – we all have something in common – our children. Children are our future!
In a time where the economy is in an unacknowledged recession – gas and food prices are so high, we can’t stop living. It’s the time to come together and be more supportive and encouraging to one another.
This is an effort to allow networking, empowerment, and encouragement, among mothers. I truly believe in order for us to reach a child, we have to go through the mother. We all have something we can share with another mother i.e. strength, words of encouragement, education, a smile, or prayer. This event is the start of a mother-to-mother connection. Positive results, I pray, will take root and flourish.
The Pre-Mother's Day Program is planned for Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 3:30 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the YMI Culture Center-Asheville. A full course meal, door prizes and encouragement will be available. This is a sponsored invitation event.
