I love learning. As an elder lady told me, "Knoweldge is power." One thing I have come to realize is that there are so many different schools and teachers in life. One that I recently learned about in my Negotiation class, while studying abouth the different school of ethics, sticks deeply in my mind.

"It's a Game" Poker School - is a school where the players are taught to ignore friendship and relationships and engage in cunning deception. It's about what's in it for me and making money! As I look around, especially at our youth - I ask myself - isn't that what is going on today? In the adults' eyes, they appear to be a gang - when it all actually, just as we see in this picture - it's just a group cunning and deceiving one another.

Our youth are exposed to schools of drugs, gangs, streets, sexual immorality, and so many other things that I cringe to think about. They are deceived to think they have friends or can trust that adult, when the truth is told, there is always a hidden agenda. This tells me - PARENTS, GUARDIANS, ADULTS - we need to be in some serious prayer with and for our children. There is power in prayer and it does change things.

My 3rd call to action for you:

Pray for the children and teach the children how to pray

It’s no longer acceptable to just grumble about how prayer has been taken out of the schools. Take the responsibility to teach your own children or the children around you how to pray. After all, you should be your child’s best teacher and it takes the committed village to raise a child.
