A CALL TO ACTION #2

POWER to the parents!

Seriously thinking about parenting in today's society, I was led to start writing a series of calls to action:

Are you not tired of what you see?
Do you not realize it's up to you?
There is work...something for you to do!


Remove the Masks of Life and take a deep look within self.


In order for one to be the best human being, grand parent, parent, spouse, child, and etc., I have learned that you must be true to self. Look within and deal with all experiences that have held your mind and heart in bondage (anger, shame, self-doubt, not forgiving, selfishness and greed, feeling worthless, blame, etc.) Allow your spirit to be redeemed back to the pure state in which God created you – in His image.


Work on improving and empowering self through education and doing things you have dreamed and have a passion in doing.

Commit to reading the Bible and being a doer of the word. Let the word be a lamp to your feet as you travel in this world of darkness. It will direct your path.

Realize and accept the fact that you don’t have power over anyone other than yourself. This includes children and grandchildren. Learn to forgive and move on.

Communicate with others, outside your comfort zone. Learn about other people and other cultures, you may be suprised at the similarities of life's adversities and those whom can empower you.

Know that is not all about you and most of the time it isn’t about you at all. Don’t take things personal and refrain, as much as possible, from becoming “emotionally hijacked.” Don't waste your energy.

Know when to let go and let God. Situation comes in our life for reasons and season. Know that God is in control, in spite of what we see. Learn to trust and depend on Him.

Think outside of the box. Follow your dreams. Don't let anyone discourage you!

Seek ye first God, in all that you do. Pray blessings for others – even the ones who mistreat you. Repent and ask God, daily, to forgive you of any sinful thoughts and actions. This helps your mind to stay free of bondage and God will begin to heal our land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)


YOU are the answer
You cannot live in someone else.
You cannot find yourself in someone else.
You cannot be given a life by someone else.
Of all the people you will know in a lifetime,
You are the only one you will never leave or lose.
To the questions of your life,
You are the only answer.
To the problems of your life,
You are the only solution.
